On April 8 I had the opportunity to talk to families at Ag in the City in Saskatoon, an event designed to bring information about Saskatchewan Agriculture to families living in the city of Saskatoon. This is an annual event and very well attended. I was delighted to find that the attendees were very engaged in learning more about Saskatchewan agriculture.
Next week I will again be participating in the ag education events in both Prince Albert with Jamie Blacklock presenting and Swift Current’s Discover the Farm, with Carol Masecar. These events are great opportunities for students and teachers to connect directly with food producers in Saskatchewan.
To prepare for these events or as follow-up teachers and students may access the website Beefeducation.ca which is designed as an elementary student resource and the teachers attending these events receive the book Where Beef Comes From as a classroom resource. This is a children’s level book available for purchase at the link above.

I fully agree with you, thank you for the post.
